The Relix Project: Mapping Life’s Treasures
Brought to you by the Student Association of The Art Institute of Vancouver
What if you had to start over? What would you bring with you? What would you leave behind? We want to give you the chance to express yourself with…
Inspired by The Burning House Project, you now have the opportunity to show everyone what you treasure and why. It can be a family heirloom, or something you need just to get through a difficult day. This is about you, your life, and not how much money you’ve spent on something so be thoughtful!
How does this work? It’s simple.
1) Gather 10 (max) of your most precious items
2) Arrange them creatively and take a photo, or if you’re feeling creative you can draw it or paint it, as long as it’s clear what the objects are in a 10”x10” image
3) Write a maximum of 250 words on why these objects are special to you
4) Submit your image and write up by email to therelixproject@gmail.com by June 17, 2012 6pm.
All selected entries will be displayed and exhibited for an extended time in the Art Gallery the following quarter. Prizes will be announced shortly, so stayed tuned to notices around school. Winners will be determined by a panel of judges, as well as the student body.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at therelixproject@gmail.com!
We can’t wait to see your entries!

Noel Levitz Student Satisfaction Survey: The results are in!
Your opinion matters to us! Last quarter, we surveyed approximately 50% of the Ai Vancouver student body about your experiences as a student studying at this campus. Thank you to those of you who took the time to complete the survey. Your feedback will provide this institution with insights about the aspects of your experience which are most important to you as well as how satisfied you are with them. Your responses will help the leadership determine what is working and what is not working.
If you are interested in learning more about the survey results, please contact Lisa Elliott, Student Development Coordinator, lelliott@aii.edu.

About the Ai Student Association
The Ai Student Association is a committee of students who want to change and improve the communication between you and the school. The Student Association is here to discuss students issues, look for solutions, coordinate campus events, improve school spirit and listen to the requests of the student body. This is the main reason the Student Association gathers every Tuesday during lunch time. We are a group of open-minded students who want to serve the campus community. The doors are always open for new members.
